One shot from a recent wedding, C&C appreciated. Full wedding on my blog, thanks!

Seems soft. Brings up something I've been pondering... I wonder more and more now days; when we shoot particular techniques (like the flare/softness in this), do some clients view it as happy "errors" - when indeed they are not?

Amonline,

I think you make an excellent point/ask a legitimate question. HOWEVER, it seems to assume that clients would view this "softness" as an error. That is, some clients may not or may be unable to recognize the "softness" in this image, thereby negating your question here.

Nice lighting and composition. Seems too low contrast for my taste.

Delovely! Wished that the flare was either bigger or retouched out, it just looks like a lens imperfection or something.

I wasn't talking about this image directly when posing my question/thoughts on the other subject... only using it as an example for posing the question.

That's her big rock, I just left it.

I did this wedding on a MBP so the results were a little off, not that my stuff isn't usually soft. This image in particular had some weird tonal thing to begin with, so I washed some of that out.
