From a walk yesterday through the headlands. Relative to a month ago, fewer flowers and insects. Everything is drying out. Waiting for the hoped-for nourishing rains of fall.
I love these small bees. Not sure what they are. They're tough to get close to. This is a heavy crop.
A more co-operative if less photogenic subject.
Honeybees tend to be easier to shoot than most other critters. If they're pollinating, they don't pay any attention to photographers
