I am in awe, I so badly want to go there some day, these are just awesome!
You would have a blast photographing these guys...the adventure in just getting to them is worth the trip

These are nice and i love black and white but i like to see the gorrilas contrasting with the green. Must have been an amazing experience to see them!
Thanks and I did add the one color photo to show the difference

Form what I am told, (I have not been there yet. Is there anywhere you have not been?) getting gorilla pictures is not easy with the contrasting light and the short amount of time one has with them. As usual with your pictures, these are well done. I must admit I prefer the color version better as I think the beautiful blackness of the animal gets too muted in the B and W versions.
Thanks and yes, plenty of unexplored places yet to see. It is indeed difficult to photograph these guys. Sometimes you are lucky and they are out in the open but still in dark shade...other times the guides have to bushwack the foliage just so you can get a peek.

3 is a stunner Eric and I'm also fond of 5. B&W dose require more work as getting tones to work well together requires experimentation. When done correctly it's well worth the effort

Thanks Morris...still working on my black and white technique...miles to go

They are one of the coolest creatures out there. Good work Eric.
Thanks Ken and I agree 100% with your statement.

Another extra nice set Eric. I do like your conversions, but for me, the color version puts more emphasis on the gorillas. 3 is tops for me, followed by 6 ~ Ron
Thanks Ron...the color image adds a different dimension and the black and white a totally different mood, IMHO.
