Where to find photo mailing materials?

Tubes are easy to find, but I need flat boxes to ship unframed and unmatted photos of various sizes: 8 x 12", 13 x 19", 17 x 25", 20 x 30".

Plus, I need clear crystal bags and thick backing boards.

In general, those mailing boxes and packing materials used by AdoramaPix would be ideal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hmm... I sorta found some answers after some search:

uline.com for boxes and clearbags.com for bags, although none of them have ideal sizes.

Still unable to find backing boards regardless.

For backing boards, I'd use Coroplast sheet. If I wanted really bend-resistant, I'd use 1/4" MFD sheet. Lexan and acrylic sheet would probably be lighter than the MDF, but they're a pain to cut.

I will just simply stick with those corrugated sheets available from Office Depot. I have to cut them into sizes tho.

Coroplast sheets are bit too pricey

If you are shipping USPS you can get free Priority Mail boxes (scroll down their page for more sizes) ---

Note: save by comparing regular Priority Mail and Flat Rate --- however the Pre-labled boxes do not interchange. (can't use Flat Rate boxes for PM) --- so get regular boxes and Flat Rate in addition if you find situations where they are cost effective.

UC^^^^ is correct. I use them allot. You might try this website.
I order my sleeves from them and they have much to offer.

unclechuck, the free PM boxes do solve my problem partially -- no box to accommodate my 20 x 30" prints

Regardless, a wonderful tip!

For prints that big I use tubes.

They have quite a selection so make sure you get what you want. Some are fantastic and are paper friendly. No sticking, no fading...
Some are like binder inserts that rather than allowing you to insert from opening on top, they peel back and insert image then close. Don't like those at all!
