Really beautiful Ed! Nice takes on these floating gems my friend

Nice separation on that last one, #4 looks like crinkly paper whites, #3 a nice water color look, #2 is a marvelously times frame and is very cool, and #1 has nice color and detail and looks great in this landscape crop!

Take care
Karl

Lovely splashes of color Ed. The shot with the jousting dragons gets my vote. Thank you

Phil

Thanks, Phil. The dragons were all over the place. Just had too be a bit patient, and hope that something good would come along. Got lucky on that one.

Wonderful photos, Ed. I love them all; vivid color, great composition, reflection and dragonfly. Excellent work.

Thanks for the comments, Tam. One thing for sure, Don't have to sneak up on these guys. A bit easier to shoot than birds.

Great stuff Ed. I love tropical water lilies, and you did a great job with these. Your pp in 3 is very nice, and I love the textures in 4, but 1 is my pick ~ Ron

Hey, Ron. Thanks for the remarks. I think it's my favorite as well.

Really nice set of water plant images. I quite like the effects in #3. Good work Ed.

Thanks, Ken. Worked on the third one for a while. I'm making an attempt to make some of my shots a bit more artistic. Glad you liked it.

Interesting collection of different Lily's.
Nice glow and warm colors in the first image, cool catch of the flyers in #2 and sweet pastels in #3.
Looks like a good morning at the pond, Ed.
Chris

Thanks, Chris. Indeed it was a nice morning. Got luck with the flyers. Set up focus of the flower, and started clicking with my remote when they flew into the area.

What a lot beauty in these shots Ed, really nice photographic work. For the feel of the shots I like the first one the best of the set, for my eyes it feels the most natural. Very well done, I very much enjoyed scrolling through these

Tim

Thanks, Tim. Flowers are a relatively new subject for me. Still a long way to go.

Hey Ed-

NICE set- I am curious as to what the process was for # 3? I really like the sort of impressionist yet photographic quality you evoked from the flower. I see 300mm- what sort? PP?
thanks!

Hi, Jay. Thank you. Topaz Labs has a thirteen product suite that can serve as plug-ins for Photoshop. I frequently use these in my post work. Most of them come with a series of presets that you can use without any additional effort. All these presets have settings that can be adjusted. You can also start from scratch, if you wish. In this case, I used one of their products name Simplify. I frequently select a preset that is close to what I'm looking for, and then use the adjustments to tweak. You can produce some very artisic results with this product.

I am very happy with their products, and they have great support. They usually conduct 2 - 3 one hour long webinars each month, focusing on the use of various products in the suite.

Just sign up for announcements. It is not necessary to own one of their products to attend these sessions. They also make these available online after the session has ended.

If you are interested in purchasing, wait for coupon codes. They are frequently offered. I purchased my suite on their Black Friday offer last year. I believe that it was 50% off.

One other plus. Any updates to purchased products are free to existing customers.

300mm is a Canon 300 4.0L.

Hope that helps.

Best to all,
Ed
