p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Canadian wildlife

We took a family trip the the Canadian Rockies last week, saw a lot of wildlife on the trip, elk, deer, moose 2 grizzly, several sheep and goats. Also saw one moose. Unfortunately I did not get all of the images as some of them were while driving and it was not possible to get stopped and get the images.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy them and please feel free to offer comments or critiques.

A nice set Mike. It's normally better if you can get the an eye visible in the shot ~ Ron

Glad you had fun and did not meet them on the trail.

It looks like the animals made their appearance on cue for the visitors (you) It looks like the Lake Louise gondola ( bears) and Lake Minnwanka (bighorn). These are good spots for the family and wildlife.

To get the eyes looking at you in good light and great exposure you have to ditch the kids and move to Alberta....

My only suggestion is that you go out early (or late) before the wife/kids wake up to get the eye contact in great light.

Thanks for sharing. Scott

Pretty good guesses Scott. I took the family to the highest probability of seeing some animals and it was fun for all. I loved the country and would have loved to been out early but that will have to wait for the next trip Thanks for the comments.

That shot of the ram reminds me of the same salt lick where I shot mine a couple of years ago.
