Michael, thanks for taking the time to look. I appreciate that you feel there is some sort of artistic merit, that's already more than I was expecting; I just want to take photos that have some production value above a snap shot, just solid exposure, solid composition and good content.

You have no idea how glad I had the awareness to have the camera ready for when the groom was just hanging at the hotel restaurant; Duy literally could not have had that shot since he was in the other side of the hotel at the time. Getting the crowd shots too time, i had to sit there and have them forget that I was there while having everything set, focus point chosen for a particular composition then just wait for something to happen.

Crit-wise, I'd say don't start with #1 -- it's a nice detail, but doesn't fit with the rest of the work shown. I'd say your trying to push the brightness a little too much in the tasting room area where it was super dark so maybe look for angles where the light is working with you rather than against you. For example, 16, the light is coming from the opposite side AND you'd get the face of the 2nd grandmother on the right. Just a thought...

Thanks for the kind words, Duy, and you're completely correct that your advice/critique has made all the difference. Glad that it's showing up somehow, I've been trying hard to be more than a gear mule.
I honestly wasn't even thinking about the order of presentation, but that's a strong point, probably shouldn't even include #1 in the set. For the shot with the two grandmas, I think that I edited to emphasize the "halos" of hair they got from the window light and some decent mid tone on their faces. You're right, it was pretty dark in there with mixed light, and I might ahve moved around to the other side, but either be where you were standing or directly in your sight lines at the time. But I see where you're coming from, you've had similar critiques about just taking a step around/left or right to get more face in the shot.
