Is this a running joke and I'm missing the humour? Do you post images like #1 and #6 in the same gallery to take the piss?

LEARN TO DELETE and then the good (brilliant) ones will stand out.

I like really like #4 Can.

I tend to agree with what 12 is getting at. John mentioned it too, I know is difficult to delete images but it's worth taking the time to weed out the lesser ones. I find that it can help to ignore the images I've taken for a few days and look at them with a fresh eye.

If I didn't see these shots posted in the same thread I'd think that they weren't taken by the same photographer.. Would it help you if I said that my "keeper rate" is about one percent...

You really need to get comfortable with the delete key on your keyboard. There are a lot of forums out there where people will give you positive feedback no matter what you post, but this isn't one of them. Keep in mind that there are a lot of people who will tell you "nice capture" only because they want you to say something positive about them, or they are a top shooter in macro and they are trying to protect their fan base. One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to actually believe the positive feedback that you get. The day you actually think that you can't improve is the day that your photography stagnates, and you end up becoming an average shooter as everyone else either catches up to you or passes you by.

I really can't wrap my head around that first frame...

If you think the feedback here is tough, try the Sports forum! Seriously, the last two are outstanding. The ones you are posting using the 100 and natural light are not in the same league.
