As I said, I had mixed emotions about the whole thing. It is very unusual for a RedTail to be acting that way. I've been watching this bird since it hatched, and his behavior is quite normal except for his lack of fear of humans.
He has been acting much more wild in the past few days and this "petting zoo" thing is just a anomaly.
It was, however amusing to watch for that brief time.
