p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · An Empty Nest

For the second year in a row this set of parents were successful in raising and fledging 3 eagles. All three were keeping close to the nest area, flying around, landing on trees and on the cliffside. Here are a few shots of them from today.

Enjoy,

Geoff

1) Watching over the empty nest

2) Atop the cliffside

3) Perched nearby the nest

4) Also perched nearby

5) Blast off...

I hope so too Eric. They have lots to learn and the odds are against them but I think they will do fine.

I've had great pleasure watching these eaglets grow up through your lens Geoff. The portraits are great yet the flight photo is superb with the pine tree in great focus behind the bird.

This has been a great sequence from the beginning to now. Hopefully you'll have a new sequence to show us next year. "Ah, they grow up so fast!"

Great news Geoff and by the looks of them in these fine shots, they are all off to a great start in life

Thanks Barry. I hope to get a few more shots of them as they usually stay around for a couple months to get fed.

Thanks Ed. They will be sticking around the nest area for at least a month or more so I usually can find them and get a few more shots. I hopefully will have a few more sets to share.
