View of Mt. Lassen on 4th of July weekend. Thanks for looking, C&C is welcome.



Updated below to bring up the foreground. My monitor must be way out of whack because in the original version I posted I can see lots of detail even though it's dark. The version below looks way overcooked to me, but obviously you guys are seeing something different.

Hey Peter,

I am thinking that you need to check the calibration of your monitor. I can't imagine you purposely wanted the foreground so dark. The sky looks okay, but in shots like these, you need to adjust the ground layer separately from the sky. I prefer using a layer mask to do so. With it being so dark I can't tell if its a good composition or not.

The sky is gorgeous.
It is dark.
The fence on the left doesn't work for me.

I like the composition for the most part. And the sky has some really nice colors. But as others have said, I want to see more detail in the foreground.
