A little low to the ground for my tastes. I'd prefer more of the Green showing. There's great reflections right there.
Still, a good memory for you I'm sure.

Perhaps it was the beginning of the White Rim?

I am never happy with a shot that has such dark blue sky and clouds with blue edges. It's a white balance problem that I can't always fix. The place to try is converting from RAW.

Hey Gordon,

That is some cool looking rock. My only suggestion would be to crop a bit off the right side so as to lose that small bit of blue water in the shot along the right edge. Since its such a small amount, its a little distracting.

Hey Stan,

The sky like that doesn't come from a WB issue, it's from polarizing typically, so that's probably why you couldn't fix it by WB adjusting. And I am sure Gordon is shooting raw, I can't imagine any landscape photographer not shooting in raw.

I never thought of eliminating the water at the right edge...good tip!

And yes, it was polarized and yes, I shoot RAW....

Regarding the low to the ground, I chose that angle as I wanted to keep the camera level, keeping the distortion to a minimum. And moving higher was only going to add mostly sky, and not much of the river.

The image is a composite of three shots taken in Vertical Orientation Shifted with the Canon 24 TSE II.
