I like the variety of tones.
if mine, I would crop the top edge a bit, down into the center-left tree. the light sky pulls
my eyes away from the center of the image.

Thanks for your suggestion. Here's a couple of versions as a result. One, I cropped the sky as you suggest and the other I bring down the exposure of the sky with a ND filter in Lightroom.

Neil,
I must take an opposite but constuctive view. I would like to see a bit more sky to lend contrast to the darker tones and provide some scale to the trees.
Yes the sky does look washed out and uninteresting. Try some addtl toning to enhance it. That will lend to more detail, scale and depth to the trees.
Also the vertical poles(?) need to go. Makes the wildness, serenity of the trees look....well look not wilderness like.
