Beautiful. The monsoons really bring out the greens. I visited Goa about 30 years ago and have fond memories of my travels exploring the countryside and lazing around on the beaches.

You must be the only South Carolinian to have heard of Goa. :-)

Yes, the Indian southwest monsoon has to be experienced to truly get its feel.

I have extended family from my mother's side in Bombay and Pune, and I love to visit and travel in India whenever I can. It is a very different world from what I am used to with so much to see and experience. And I love the food. I have experinced the monsoons in Bombay when it rains and rains for days, and driving through the Ghats to Pune with all the waterfalls and greenery is a memorable experience (and also because of the narrow mountain roads).
