Yes, the Indian southwest monsoon has to be experienced to truly get its feel.
I have extended family from my mother's side in Bombay and Pune, and I love to visit and travel in India whenever I can. It is a very different world from what I am used to with so much to see and experience. And I love the food. I have experinced the monsoons in Bombay when it rains and rains for days, and driving through the Ghats to Pune with all the waterfalls and greenery is a memorable experience (and also because of the narrow mountain roads).
