On our last leg of our stay in Oregon, we spent two nights in Bandon. The beach there is phenomenal. There was not much color in the sunrises and there was an extremely low tide right at sunrise. At the sunrise, Wizard Hat, for those that know it, had no water around it. I went out the first morning, but could not get inspired.
However, I was blessed with two very nice sunsets and a rising to near high tide each night. I spent the first evening planted pretty much in front of Wizard Hat. I may have moved 20 feet during the two and a half hours I spent there. I had planned to move around, but the clouds even during golden hour were pretty amazing and constantly changing. I think I took over a hundred images and I liked a lot of them - it was actually hard to narrow them down. And I think if I look again tonight, I may select an entirely different batch. I have a lot of similar photos at different brackets and with the waves in different positions. Anyways, I had planned to go there with an image where Wizard Hat was very prominent in the image. But with the crazy cloud action, most of my images turned out to be wider perspectives. Also know that there was a marine layer, but the sun actually appeared again underneath the marine layer and let out some pretty intense and crazy light.
So here goes. Bear in mind there is no saturation enhancement other than the fact that my levels adjustment (I adjust each color channel separately) had the effect of bringing color out. I've actually reduced saturation on some of these. Also, remember that the EXIF for the images taken with the Tokina 17-35 is not displaying correctly. I haven't been able to determine why.
Would appreciate any and all constructive criticisms and comments.
Plus I notice some banding and halos on the uploaded versions that do not show on the images on my computer. Something to do with the upload?
