I don't hang out in this forum very often. I race cyclocross every fall and have been taking photos at the races. I've been shooting more and more film lately for my personal work. Anyway, here are some shots from different races I've been to...

hope these are up to snuff...

Wow, great set! And brave to shoot film for action. Very well done. I haven't shot cyclocross yet but do shoot local crits. Great stuff!

Rob, I appreciate your comments... thank you! Have you been to any 'cross races before? If not, I highly recommend checking it out. The atmosphere is unlike any other cycling discipline. It's a very fun, very positive atmosphere... no one takes it too seriously... Plus there are so many great photos to be had. Thanks!

a couple more?

...as for shooting film... I generally shoot a way lower volume of film vs digital. Maybe 2 rolls @ a race vs a few hundred? I definitely prefer the look of film, but I know the two really aren't comparable, each has it's appeal... Shooting motion with the Rollei is a b*tch! the image in the waste level finder moves opposite to the direction the rider is actually going... it takes some getting used to, but it also has a 'sports finder' which allows for direct framing... any way... thanks!

Very good series, may it be film or would it not. Most of them have a very intense look and express the emotional side of this sport. The use of motion blur is also done in a vry creative way that I like.

More great shots. And with a Rollei? Wow, that's dedication (or something)

I haven't tried 'cross yet. A bunch of guys I ride with try to talk me into it. Really don't have a suitable bike and if I brought ANOTHER bike home the wife might kill...

Again fantastic shots, thanks for posting!

Love these. Fantastic mood and action photos, and the feel of these is killer. They seem to be timeless. Great job including only things that add to that feel.
