With my new Sony disaster I look into the Fuji system.

What is about DOF? I played a bit with a DOF calculator: is the 23/1.4 like 35/2.2 in FF? And the 56/1.2 like a 85/1.8?

What is your real life impression?

Just look up APS-C vs. full frame. It's the same debate.

Have you never used an apsc camera before? You must be vaguely familiar, and if not, just look up apsc vs ff as suggested. Also try the alternative lens forum on fm, you might get better info.

With the same settings, same field of view and same framing add 1.2 stops.

Dude... dont even bother with Fuji. The Sony stuff is so much better. Crop is garbage IMO.

I posted it in another treat, called Sony problem.

They freeze when they get warm. Seems to get worse. Shot some images today for Ebay and after only 10 shots it froze.

Yesterday while shooting the first dance it hung up, could not change anything. Turned it off and on, the 3 sec. took ages, still no response to aperture, ISO or whatsoever. Grabbed my other body, Nikon, and shot the dance with the wrong lens (35 instead of 24).

After taking batteries out and in it was in working order again. Was ready to smash the Sony against the wall. Feel better now and think we have to go different ways now.

I don't use mine to much but Jackie uses hers a ton... like a lot. It gets really really really hot.
She has not had any problems...
Perhaps it is just a bad circuit board. Could happen with any camera really.
I sometimes bump my Fn menu so that the bracket shooting comes on and my camera is then slow as balls but as soon as I take that off it is fine.

With all due respect, to Hardlyboring, I suggest you check out the fuji x image thread> If you need FF to take a great photo, maybe you should consider another hobby!
I love my D3S nikons but there is not too much they give me that I can't get from my X-T1. And my back doesn't hurt after an hour!

heiko, What batteries are you using? I tried a few types of aftermarket and was unhappy with them all. I now have a bag of expensive Sony ones (bought a couple with chargers as well) and have no issues. I'm doing a thousand frames a week at least.

OK, that is interesting! I only have aftermarket ones!
Have to look into this.

Thanks!

I hear the D810 has 12-bit lossy compressed files at 29 megabytes in size. Not too bad.

And has D4S focus system.

Available mid July.
