Still have no clue why pets are included in this forum and not the animal one.

Anyway! So a few weeks back I reprocessed some old photos that I took a little over a year ago. Not really interested in critiques on posing, more along the lines of processing. With it being my second time photographing a live subject, I had no clue what I was doing. She had some clue, but most of the images were unusable due to camera shake. Regardless. Here they are.

And a screenshot of the before/after, with all the layers. This took about 3-4 hours I think. Mostly because I don't know what I'm doing.

You say that as if it's a bad thing, Michael....

Pretty model, nice lighting.

I agree the pose in the first one is suggesting exactly what Michael says, so i have to say the second one is better although they are technically equal. An interesting choice to cool the white balance, i think it's appropriate for the background and surrounding elements but maybe a tad too cold for the model's skin (very arguable here just saying) Although i like the cyan touch in the model's hair (some don't) as it makes them look even more black (i love back hair for a woman). Maybe some vignetting would divert the attention back onto the subject but then again at this point on this very nice shot it's really just a matter of taste.

Well done Swordfishphoto :-)

Very nice images.

Very cool location you found for the shoot. Beautiful model. Nice wardrobe. Lighting is not the most dramatic, but it works.

I have to concur with the previous statements about the poses. Definitely different. I'm not sure image 1 is that flattering to the model.

In image 3, the screen shot, it looks like image 2 is the one on the right. If so, I'm not sure I like the processing you did. Photo 3 left looks nicer to me. I would be interested in seeing that version posted.

Post more from the shoot if you get time.

TFS.
