p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · D800 in repair, Df in action!

I love my D800, It's the camera I count on for landscape, sports, and other subjects. But since January, I have been shooting my Df pretty much every day, I bring it everywhere with me.

So when my D800 10-pin port broke back in May - I was heart broken, and finally got around to sending it in this past week after a crucial job was over and done... but while I will miss it being around - I don't think I am going to miss it a whole lot, because I have my Df. The Df comes to work with me everyday with a 50mm 1.8G lens attached, and that's what I have been doing 90% of my photography with for the past 6 months.

I have been blogging my use of the camera on the Df Facebook group - and aside from needing my D800 back by August 5th in time for a wedding shoot.... I am good!

The Df is a great camera, despite the internet bashing. I have a few nit picks that I work around but again the files & size are what I really like. Enough so that I bought the D4s (so much for the size /weight thing), that will give my almost 5 yr old D3s a break. I like the files of my D800e so the new D810 will be a pass now, however the D4s auto focus on the D800 IMO would be worth the upgrade to those who shoot 90% with the D800/e's.

I'm betting the majority Df owners are happy campers.

It focuses better than your spell checker.

I don't find the Df AF that bad for 90% of the things I shoot.

After reading all the complaints by non-owners on the intrawebz, you would think so. However, I am pleased to report that mine focuses very well in low light. This previously coming from a D3s.
