Go away, noob...nobody likes a "rush to 25" poster with inappropriate comments.

Can we please make this the D700 Image Thread? Pretty please? I have lots of photos to share.

Not so fast, Will. These posts let me know when to use the Hide Me button, so they do serve a purpose.

And why exactly did you make this post WITHOUT an image?

You don't need permission to post images my friend. Will's invitation is BYOP... bring your own photos...

True, but at the rate they're springing up...you'll be "out" in no time.
Reminds me, gotta get Fred to give me another portion.

Here is my journey :

2009 sold D700 for D3s
2011 sold D3s for D700
2012 sold D700 for D800
2013 sold D800 for D4
2014 sold D4 for two D700

the lesson learned is that i don't need the 36MP sensor.

My Journey....

2008 Bought D700
2014 Bough 2nd D700

Honestly, at this point if either one craps out, I'll replace it with another D700... you've heard of old pro's who shot F3's for 20 yrs... it was just THEIR camera... it worked for them, the knew it, they trusted it... well, the D700 is MY F3

I'm pretty stoked to get home, grab the D700 w/MBD10 loaded with AA's and 70-200, throw the dog and family in the backyard and fire away.

Curits, outstanding DOF. Which manual focus lens were you using?

The D700 is rather versatile. This was a 30 second exposure using a small flashlight to paint my bike.

A classic pre-AI lens, the 24 f/2.8 N.C. with the Nikon AI conversion kit... pure joy.

I'm almost tempted to "re-acquire". I sold mine, which I really liked, upon purchasing the 800.

I want Nikon to make a D710 so the price will come down on the D700's. I'm jealous Canon has a cheapie FF camera while Nikon does not. I guess I can black out one of the 0's on my D7000 for now.

I was using two F3's at the paper and when the F4 came out I bought one... Sold it two years later in Like New condition! Today, I feel the same way about my D3.
