I used a tripod mounted Nikon D7000 at iso 800, Nikon 16-85 VR at f/8 and shutter speed of 1/10th. Using a wireless remote, I was triggering the camera based on when I started to see a lighting flash begin. The lightning activity was very frequent and quite intense. I captured 12 images with pretty good bolts over the 15 minutes I shot.
