Canon 1DX for $4,999!
Ebay's AllNewShop (99.5% positive feedback) has the Canon EOS-1D X body for $4,999

(Regular price: $6,799)

  1. Canon EOS-1D X for $4,999

FYI: Ebay items are usually grey market, and therefore not technically covered under Canon USA's warranty. However, It's known that Canon USA does service gray market cameras and lenses. Keep in mind that this practice could change without further notice.

Wish i bought mine at that deal price before, that time i paid about $1350 more above this deal price [~$6350]

I would like to buy this camera again to make it a backup for itself rather than my 1D3, but i am looking for new Sony camera that may be a better choice over this camera if and only if the AF speed will be blazing lightning fast then i may sell my Canon 1DX too.

Sorry, this appears to be scam all over it starting with:
Manufacturer Warranty: No !

This does not read as Gray Market that I see.......clearly states NO manufactures warranty.

This doesn't work for me either:
Neutral feedback rating 0 5 19
Negative feedback rating 2 6 18 (2 neg already this month, 6 in the last 6 months and 18 in the last 12 months

We wouldn't be doing business with this seller if they were an FM member!
Sorry Fred I disagree with a post like this, I wouldn't recommend this seller or this deal to anyone, just my opinion but I buy and sell for a living.
Karl

Item Specifics clearly states Seller Warranty is USA 1-year the same as Manufacturer's Warranty.

From experience, there's no way I would touch that deal. I bought a new 1Dx back in January and straight out of the box the sensor was bad. The first shot and all subsequent frames were a deep purple. Fortunately, I purchased from an authorized Canon dealer and immediately was given a new 1Dx... which I love by the way. Incredible camera. I'd run from this offer. Just my $.02

Agree with JSPHOTOS.

You don't know if the seller will honor and get you a new sensor/camera if if there is a fault. And the seller can't repair it without help from Canon.

You don't know if the seller will repair or replace the camera with a new one. And we don't know if the seller exist next month either. It's Ebay
If buying some smaller stuff for $ 100 it would be ok. But I would not buy a $ 5k camera without a Canon warranty. It's also a lot different when B&H or another large store backup their grey market item their warranty. Nobody have even heard about Ebay's AllNewShop

Just a tiny bit of investigating shows 155 sales in the last month with 2 negative feedbacks -- from the same dissatisfied customer who bought a discounted 5D3 and 3 year extended warranty. In the last 6 months, only 6 negative and 5 neutral out of 741 sales. The seller has a very high percentage of positive feedback considering they sell heavily discounted cameras (many Nikon sales). No one saying they are being swindled or not receiving the item paid for, not as a company MO anyhow. Doesn't look like a problem if you know what you want and use a proper credit card like Am Ex. Of course anyone is free to avoid, but I wouldn't call this outfit crooked.

So what? And $1800 less than B&H should cover any repairs.

So what if it is eBay? There are plenty of reputable retailers on eBay. The Seller has been on eBay for 8 years and over 25,000 buyers have purchased from them, with lots of Canon gear bought from them.

What is your problem with that?

I have no problem. Because I have never bought anything from them. And I will never buy any $ 5k camera without a manufactures warranty.

If I was going to spend $5K on a body I would spend a little more and get a refurb directly from Canon for $5400 with 1 year warranty.

Well, if you are in the market for one - here's your chance.

I know it is a body blow to have bought one for $6800.00, but at least you've had a lot of use out of it.

Canon refurbished might have high shutter counts though. I purchased a 60d canon refurb a while back and it had something around 15k already.
