p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Frozen Fire ~ Pano

Upper Kananaskis Lake, Alberta, Canada

Shot in early April here in the Canadian Rockies. It was overcast and it was looking like it would remain that way all morning. Then for a few minutes, a small break in the clouds opened up allowing the sun to shine on the mountain.

I'm posting this image here in hopes of getting some honest feedback. This image doesn't quite sit well with me and I was wondering what your thoughts are. My girlfriend doesn't like the yellow light on the mountain whereas I'm not sure about all the blue tones. Overall I guess it just doesn't quite "feel" right.

Thank you all in advance!

You found some great light with a dramatic dynamic color range.
You'll need keener critical eyes to comment on any ways to change this, if needed. I like it.

It's a beautiful pano, Tom. I'm not strong with PP but I think the hanging clouds mute the contrast and detail in the mountains. Have you tried the radial filter (LR) or adjustment layer in PS to see what you can do with the mountains?
