Hi guys,

Ok, so something I'm confused about. Since I can't see it in the specs. When you're shooting with the B1, how does the camera/flash know how far away from the subject it is, AND how does it know how much light the modifier is sucking out of it? Seems like plug and play, so there's a pre-flash coming from the B1 for every shot you take?

OR am I missing something?

Ok, found the answer to my question while randomly blog searching. Apparently a quick pre-flash. Next question then.. Does anyone actually use this light for indoor ballroom work? I love the idea of setting it to a 10th of the power and blasting off some consecutive flashes for say a dance or a champagne cork popping etc.

Wondering if anyone has used it for event style shooting, with an assistant and this flash running around shooting guests?
