It was in the moment. I have really been working on my timing. I saw the bike about a block down the street really moving and I had seen the two bikes and the fast sign and I was in a very good relationship to the bikes and the background. I slowed my shutter speed down and stopped the lens down to compensate and waited a couple of seconds. I shoot with a rangefinder (Leica MM) and I think that this makes these kinds of images a lot easier. Anyway for me it is. I am constantly practicing my timing. I notice if I haven't shot for a couple of days it is off. Here's a timing shot from the AM
And another. Two people in step and passing one another. Catching people in stride is not easy to do consistently. If I have to think about it I usually always miss it.
