That's a very nice take. Great colors. Is that the canon 16-35 ?

That's a great shot, comp, color and exposure are spot on.

Nice color and cloud formation! Is this Mesquite in DV?

Looks like there's some funky colors/processing going on, but perhaps that's your style and I'm just not a fan of it. To me, it looks like there's clipping in the clouds. Also, the transitions in the colors of the dunes seems a bit wacky. Is this HDR?

Regarding the composition, it doesn't do much for me. I find the placement of the crest of the sand dune relatively uninteresting. It seems to form a T with the horizon, and there is a lack of any interesting diagonals. I think if you had stepped off to the side, so that the crest of the dune came in at an angle, you'd have a much better composition. I would have stepped off to the right side, to get that texture of the sand. Combine that with a bit of different post processing, and I think you'd have an absolutely killer image, because despite the blotchiness of the sky, I can tell it was a simply amazing sunrise. Must have been quite a thrill to experience it in person!

Cheers, mate.

Thank you so much for your comments , yes Mesquite in DV, this is not HDR, just 1 shot, not 2 shot put together, not 1 in Death valley and the cloud from somewhere else, the sand dune never perfect there is tree, footprints + everything else, the sky like this only last for few minutes not all day for me to run to the right or the left to get perfect picture like you want but thanks anyway , what I see what I get and share with all of you that all

What a beautiful sunrise at the Death Valley Sand Dunes! Great capture. This is very gentle and natural color and nice composition considering your other bold and powerful photos. Thanks for sharing, Ton.

Colors on this one look almost natural.
Interesting shot but as already mentioned above, orange is clipping in a sky, also some weird processing on FG, not sure how you got it, but I usually get similar effect when moving curves in Lab too far.

great shot!
there are two tiny bits of pink cloud that look over saturated on my work monitor. It just may be out of gamut for this office quality monitor and would like fine at home.
