Looking into purchasing a LiFe battery for my 7B (lead acid),
anyone have a LiFe battery and provide the weight?

I don't use this series, so I cheated and looked it up in the Pro-B3 brochure:

Weight 6.4 kg (14.1 lbs), excluding battery
Weight 8.8 kg (19.0 lbs), including battery

5 lbs in round numbers. Even by Profoto standards, this sucker is expensive.

I don't have a scale handy, but I would assume the above figures to be correct. I use the LiFe batteries in both my 7b and 7b2 units, and they are incredible. My 7b's are a pleasure to use again since upgrading. Not only far less weight, but much more capacity as well. I've had them 9 months or so, and still am shocked every time I pick up at 7b pack. Just seems so light compared to what I was used to for years.

Thanks guys

I tracked a reviewer from B&H and contacted them also.

LiFe: 2.429 kg ≈ 5.35 lbs
Pb: 4.752 kg ≈ 10.48 lbs

I was looking into switching for the Broncolor move
but with a battery update, I think I can put off the
switch further down the road.
