Driftwood beach on Jekyll Island is a great place to take your camera and I was waiting for a foggy morning to go back there. The fog was very thick and the sun was trying to cut through it without any luck. Kind of made for a nice background. Hope you enjoy and thank for looking.
Nice image, the sun burning through the fog really sets the mood and makes the image.
Love visiting driftwood beach whenever were in St Simons. Probablly one of my favorite places, and have been spending Thanksgiving week on SSI for the last 30 years. Being there in the fall, I can't recall encountering any heavy morning fog at that time of year. May need to visit again sometime in the spring. Would also like to get some images of the shrimp boats in Darien in the fog.
I like it, the color and tone are very nice. Personally, I might crop a bit off the bottom to move the tree out of the center, maybe a 16x10 or 16x9 format?
What a cool shot here! It's actually not easy to get driftwood to work into a shot as it's often so haphazardly tossed on the beach. But this works great, and the background in the sky is awesome.
I definitely would not consider cropping the bottom of the shot. The strong lines in the sand are a huge part of what makes this shot work. The horizon is not centered, so for me, the composition works wonderfully.

Thanks for the feedback. I might try a little off the top but I love the lines in the sand at the bottom and would hate to lose any of it as I think it adds to the image. Thanks again.

Jim - Thanks for the comments. I agree about the sand and it was one element that I thought really helped the image. Thanks again.
