this was shot at f16 1/6th second on Rebel Sl1 with 60 mm Canon macro ISO 100

I was cutting this up for dinner and after about an hour , I finished it. It looked like a cool picture so I lit it with about 4-5 LED lights and shot it off a tripod.............then an hour later, we ate it......not the seeds!!!

it has frontal lighting, back light and rim light ... I put a blue fuzzy border around it to set off the color.....hope everyone likes it...thanks for looking...Brian

Effective lighting. Did you need f16?

I think the piece is about an inch thick and at that close range, I think I needed f16...some people would focus stack but I don't know how to do that....good question though.

It's a nice shot, especially like how the seeds look. Looks like F16 got the DOF you needed/wanted (hard to fully tell on web sized shots). I'm not sure stacking woulda gained you much other than a bit more sharpness that may really not be needed.

My impression was that it was not nearly that thick - deceptive. Yes, you would need f16.

great colors - if I were you and wanted to decorate my kitchen with some pictures I would use that one and then shot a few more with other fruits/veggies....maybe a slice of lemon....slice of kiwi.

Anyhow - great work !
