My wife and I attended the Travis AFB show last Sunday. It was my first real air show, and it was amazing. All of their big planes were there, as were tons of fighters and stunt planes. I took a full suite of lenses with me, but we were too close for me to use my 500mm, so almost all of the pics were taken using my 70-200f4. I think it performed really well. I had a hard time getting the shutter speed right to both blur the props but keep the images sharp. I erred on the side of a faster shutter and sharp pics but stationary props. I'll have to work on it. Unfortunately the show was marred by the crash of a stunt plane which ended the show before the Thunderbirds got to fly. The pilot did not make it, very sad end to an otherwise great day. CC very welcome here as it was my first attempt at air show shots.
