I had ordered 3 16GB SD cards before this sale started. I contacted B&H via chat and they refunded me the difference!

Meh, the discounts bring Lexar prices down to what they should be in the first place IMO

interesting that the 800x 16gb and 8gb cards have been discontinued, and reintroduced with no apparent changes. I have both of the now discontinued ones. I have had it sit there in the reader and barely move when ingesting....then i'll pop the reader out and back in and zoom...makes me wonder if there is an issue here that they have not really made public?

Actually...the amazon prices are not the same. And, they took OFF prime shipping
on them. here is a link that shows two diff prices. One for the old version, and another higher one for the new version...same specs

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_p_n_feature_five_bro_5?rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Alexar+800x%2Cp_n_feature_five_browse-bin%3A677427011&keywords=lexar+800x&ie=UTF8&qid=1399421974&rnid=673240011

The bh ad, shows the old as no longer avail...and the new one at 28 bucks...which is the price of the OLD one on amazon

There is a slight change in speed, both in write and read. I bought a 64GB 2-pack on Amazon (same price as at B&H) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IQCRTXU/ and I run a Magic Lantern speed test on my 5DIII.

BTW, Amazon still sells Lexar 1000x cards - 32GB $129: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007BXD66E

$380 for the 2-pack of 1066x 64GB cards at BH is not bad.

FWIW, the Lexar 400x SD cards look to be pretty slow in some tests.

The Lexar 600x were almost as fast as the Sandisk 80 Mbs cards in a Canon T4i test, and tied in a Nikon 7100 test.
The 32Gb 600x are $50 for 2 right now.

The Sandisk 95 MBs look to be the best of the Class 10 cards in almost all tests, but the 80 MBs and then the 600x aren't too far behind. (There are some anomalies on different tests, in different cameras.)

The Lexar 400x SD cards at $20 are only 40% of the speed of the Sandisk 80 MBs & Lexar 600x cards in one test (in a Nikon.) They were about 50% of the speed of the Sandisk 45 MBs.

Obviously YMMV. There are lots of numbers and tests out there. I only looked at camera write speeds, not computer read speeds, etc.

Cheers!

I picked up a Lexar 1066x compact flash for slightly less than these prices from Adorama last week ... might be worth checking there also.

I can tell you why, I purchased 2 of the 32 800x and one was bad, this cards had awfull reviews on reliability, I was shooting a wedding last summer and that card died on me, so you know how I felt at that moment. Lexar did replaced the card for me and had worked flawlessly so far.
So they just basicly reset all the bad reviews by reintroducing it again.
