I took my D7000 out for my first ever portrait session, a few of the images straight out of camera, taken with 85mm 1.8G and 50mm 1.4G

Thanks! Just got it..."under construction" I'm in the process of getting more organized and thinning

You booked a 3 way in February? Oh wait... never mind.

TM,

I shoot a D7K and would love to have your "special sauce" SOOC settings. I'm a new member, so can't do PMs, yet. Could you please send the settings to my email address included in my profile?

Fabulous captures with the D7K, BTW!!

Thanks

I am currently shooting a d7100 and d7000 together, but I just got a second used d7000 for my wife . She is learning the ropes already and having a lot of fun. I need to unload some images from her camera to show her progress soon.

Hello fellow D7000ers.
I took my brand new camera out for a hike yesterday and took a few hundred shots, none of which really had a crisp focus. I have only one lens, a 28-105 macro from my film days.
Photos were everything from our mountain landscape to macros of wildflowers.
I used aperture priority mainly which I found to be the best at manipulating aperture/exposure/iso.
I don't think I can post pictures here, but any suggestions would be helpful as I'm new at digital.
I do think this is a cool camera!
Thanks
MMM

MMM, the D7K rewards good glass. Throw a nice lil prime (50 f1.8G less than $200)
on it...fine tune...and report back. You CAN posts pictures here for free...they just need to
be hosted elsewhere ie: flickr/photobucket etc. GL
