Ignorance is bliss, even with the primates.

You certainly get some fantastic images with that, which reason enough to keep it around. If only I could get images like that with mine.

Many thanks! You can...It just needs the right "special sauce"

Beautiful shots. Really loving the first one!
Does it tend toward overexposure?
Noticed the -0.7 setting.

I like the first shot a lot and I perfectly understand why you like the D7000. This was among my favourite cameras until I gave it to my son a few months ago . Looking for a replacement, I will soon start a "help me spend my money" thread

Thanks, Tim. Basically EVERYTHING w/any white overexposes in this 5000'+ strong NM sunshine.
The bonus being...one can glom a little more SS at base ISO.

Nice Will! I wish I had just a smidgin of that NM sun. I starting to feel like I live in a rain forest. Reason for D7100 even though the AF does oof occasionally.

First I thought it was your magic in the electronic darkroom but you said SOOC so it's the magic in camera that you do.
Excellent clarity, thanks for sharing!

Thanky, Mitch! We actually might get rain today...it's been a month or so.

Sure appreciate it, Kenneth. I'm kinda known for my special sauce as well as handheld BIF and rodeo.
After 65 yrs of mediocrity, it's finally nice to be halfway good at SOMETHING...besides husband/father.

Wow Will, you really nailed on the first pic, and SOOC !!!

My issue (it's me, no the D7K) is that I can't get enough SS. But when I do, boy oh boy.

Cheers and Happy Easter to everyone.

Excellent work, as usual, Will. #1 is absolutely fantastic. You are not exactly a fan favorite with Adobe or any of the other SW producers, or those who hawk the product lines.

Nice to see some great shots out of the "humble" d7000 . I am considering one as a backup/2nd body for an event I have to shoot in a few months--or maybe a used D2x if the price stays nice :-D!

I sold mine after I bought a D800. I couldn't justify keeping it when I can shoot the D800 in 1.2X and 1.5X crop modes.

TM - Interesting comment on why the -0.7. I rarely shoot anything under 6500 feet here in CO, and often in too much sun (while everyone else is having lunch, or a brew). I find myself going under on 8 out of 10 shots, with any camera. Never considered there could be an environmental reason, thought it was just me. Thanks for the info. - Jim

(missed this at 3am) Thanks a lot, Guy. I'm on #7, thoroughly convinced

Appreciate it, Gus. Roll the thumb, and give yourself more SS when you see it droppin' in the VF...
or did you miss the primer on Easy ISO with my 'monkey settings?!

Many thanks! Great minds, Ben...I've recently shown some love for the D2Xs as well.
It comes out for daytime migratory BIF in HSC (for the 8fps and fat pixels)
