This time last year I think I had 1 wedding booked for 2014--currently have 30 weddings booked for 2014. For 2015 I have 5 (though one is on 1/3/15 so I am considering that income for 2014).

I think we're between 20-25 with a couple in process... 2015 has seemed a bit slower than '14 for us, but still really happy with where we are. We had our first price raise in a while about 6 months back and didn't shoot much this winter, but now we're starting to bring the heat again

Zero.

I actually tend to book weddings 8-6 months out. I always seem to book 4-6 wedding at 2-4 months! I pull out these shorter coverage great weddings. My 'last minute' bookings always are such cool people! Not that others are not... they are just 'extra' cool I guess! lol

Im only a 10-15 weddings per year gal and I pick up 3-6 second shooter gigs. Usually for photographers traveling here. I very rarely shoot second gigs for locals. Just works out that way...

I never knew about what I'll call the "January effect" due to increased inquiries. Thank you for the nice nugget.

I did not vote since I don't consider myself a professional. For the record, I only have one wedding booked for 2014 and none for 2015.

It's been five years since I shot my last wedding and want to develop an different style this time around. If I shoot a dozen CL freebies next year...would those count? !!!

Seriously, I'm thinking ahead to 2016.

We have 9 so far for 2015 with 2 other verbal commitments that should be in the mail. Last year at this time we had 2 for 2014 and ended up at 27. We just raised prices again though because we're hoping to stay around 25 or so.

Wedding photography is a side job for me. I've booked my summers away in 2013 and 2014 and don't plan on doing it again. Plus, I'm at the age where a lot of my friends are/could be getting married, and I'd rather not have prior commitments booked 12+ months in advance.

I agree, this isn't a perfect poll. It would definitely be helpful after that number to have something like, % of bookings for the year, and your average booking $, but the polls on this site are only one dimensional. I still think it's helpful, and the comments and discussion it spurs are often much more helpful than the poll itself.

We are at 8 for next year so far (with two more meetings today). Our booking average is up $500 or so over last year. Around this time last year we were around 4, so things are definitely looking up!
