Just for fun, I'm going to pretend I'm Charlie and show a few shots I took in Turkey a few weeks back. Not great photography, that's for sure, but it does show the ceremony. I had a camera with me so I shot after the ceremony. No photos were allowed during the ceremony

200 views so far. Eventually, someone will notice ISO 12800 was the setting and maybe that modern cameras can do clean shots if you are careful in PP.

I did notice that.. and still clean shots. Did you use any noise software?

The white robes provide great contrast. the light in the room doesnt look good enough to produce as good a shot as you got. nice job!

Very nice images .... and gives the feeling appropriate for the culture. Too bad people get in the way I quite like the first shot. It would be very good if you could remove the lady's head in the lower right corner.

Thanks Ron, coreybell and Tony.

markhatlen - no noise reduction software was used. What I did do is REDUCE exposure slightly in PS. I was also careful not to add any sharpening, vibrance or anything else that might amplify the noise.

Tony - agree. The lady's head has to go. I'll leave this image unchanged here and clone her out elsewhere.

I look at the second shot as showing what tourists do at these events, so the people stay in the shot.

haha, I didn't notice the ISO. I don't usually look at the settings unless I see something interesting in the picture. That's pretty good! I do suggest you consider adding a little Noise Ninja when you shoot at that high high ISO. For me, at least, I like it better when the noise is cleaned up subtly.
