Can someone provide a link to a reputable E-Bay or other seller. I just need simple ability to keep the shutter open for long exposures.

Shipping will be to Canada.

Thanks in adance.

I bought this "US FOTGA..." from ebay seller "foto4easy" and it works fine as an intervalometer and shutter release with my 6D. Uses 2xAAA batteries, but I don't know how long they last yet, as I always remove them when done.

Likewise a decent wireless release capable of long exposures ?

I have cable releases and rf-602 system but it's clunky and has terrible battery issue

Thanks Darein, but unfortunately that seller doesn't ship to Canada. Looks nice though... even better than the plain version with no intervalometer settings.

I recently bought this cheap wired remote for $7.50 from B&H photo. It works very well - no complaints.

Pretty sure I bought mine at a local Fry's Electronics for next to nothing- works great, and has a 'shutter lock' to keep the shutter open for bulb exposures when needed.

Now, it's built cheap as hell mind you, and not something I'd want to use as a primary for professional work, but it does the job.

I just bought a Vello for my T3i from B&H. It does long exposure, multiple shots and has intervalometer for time lapse. I like it.

I have not used this FlashZebra product, but all of the other items I have purchased from FlashZebra have been high quality and the owner is a photographer and great to deal with.

But there will be dozens of Chinese sellers who do ship to Canada - just find one selling one of these who will: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Timer-Remote-Removable-Shutter-Cord-for-Canon-40D-50D-1D-5D-Mark-II-III-6D-7D-C3-/330949922750?pt=Camera_Camcorder_Remotes&hash=item4d0e270fbe

I use my 6D for a lot of timelapses and long exposures and I highly recomment the triggertrap system which allows your iphone to function as a brilliant and very detailed intervelometer.

I would just buy a knockoff third-party timer remote from fleabay or Amazon. They're probably just as reliable as the $130 canon version. I'd avoid cheapo wireless options, however.
