p.2 #1 · p.2 #1 · Backpack for 2 DSLR's

I used the Tamrac 5585 with a 80-400mm attached to a D800, a D7100 with the 24-70mm attached, and a 105m macro, 18-35mm zoom, 16mm fisheye, Sb800, and a teleconverter, and it all fit. The bag can carry a tripod on the center of the back where it is balanced.

It also has the M.A.S. straps so it is easy to attach side pockets or a water bottle for quick access to gear without opening the main compartment. I used the medium bags with one holding the SB-800 and a SD-8a battery pack and a Better Beamer and the other pocket holding a windbreaker.

I tried other bags that had similar dimensions but the interiors had such thick padding that a lot of space was lost. Also many had limited lining for Velcro attachment of the panels which limited how I could configure the inside for my lenses. Lowepro was the worst in this regard.

Just from looking at the pictures, looks as if they are designed transfer the load to the shoulder straps. The hip/pelvic girdle support is minimal.
