Yes that's right. Digital to Negative.

I have wondered and done some searches but my search keeps coming up with digitizing, not what I want to do.

I have a nice digital camera DSLR. I make a photo. And now I'd like to create an analog print. I want to print on photographic paper, real photo, not some machine. From a real negative, not some simulated grain or digital filters.

How would I produce the best quality B&W Negative from a digital image?

I really don't understand what you are wanting to do? You can get a traditional machine print from a digital file. My lab does this for me all the time. or, do you want to be able to print a b&w print yourself using an enlarger at home? If you are wanting a traditional print with all of the "look" of film you will most likely have to start with film, just producing a negative from a digital file is not going to magically produce grain and the "look" of film. I would guess you can find labs that will print your digital files on true b&w paper.
