From the venue of the recent portrait set - Chicago Cultural Center

#1 - Dome is, I believe, Tiffany glass. Pretty fancy!
Better with closer crop to eliminate distracting piece in upper right that's falling apart?

#2 - Selective cooler WB on center circle and outer edges of the walls

#3

#4 - Not my greatest processing. Definitely some struggles with highlights on the lamp. Main question - would it be better if the light was in focus as well?

Very nice, really like them all. It would be very difficult to pick a favorite.

Thank you Barbara!
I'm thinking #1 would be a good square crop candidate. Now we're all following Scott's fad

For the first, maybe you could reconstruct the broken panes?

I like the first, it's my favorite of the bunch, but I'm kind of amazed that AntiPode was able to reconstruct the broken panes. But I don't know this photoshop magic at all! That's just awesome.

Thanks restinginlove...

Do you have Photoshop or Lightroom? I think Clone/Heal in either one will handle that broken pane pretty well. I'm going to try it out on this image later.

I have both photoshop and lightroom however I'm really new to lightroom and I really only do basic stuff in photoshop at this point (curves, etc). I'll have to try it out!

It was something of a chore to construct, so don't lose patience if you try to learn constructing bits. There are different ways. I used the clone stamp mostly, working small dabs at a time and using the blur tool to soften bits.

If you'd like, I can put up on Youtube a video of an easier way to patch the window pane in Photoshop.

Oh, that would be awesome. I'll try out my own patching first, and if I can't get it figured out, then I'll post again.

Thread resurrection....
Finally played around with reconstructing the broken light pane.
Karen - thanks for the video tutorial!

#1 - Lightroom version. I really like the LR clone/heal too in most cases, and it does really well with what I'm going to call 'undefined' shapes. Clouds/grass/sand -it works great. With defined lines at different angles like in this, it definitely hits its limit.

#2 - Photoshop elements version. Still not quite as clean as AuntiPode's video, but definitely better than LR. Being able to select and rotate and content-aware move
was very useful here.

#3 - Final version

The first is my favorite because of the symmetry. But I probably like straight on orthographic projections better than most.

Its worth the fix I think.

Excellent series, John. Not much to add but I do like the symmetry of the first especially.

Scott and Ben, thanks for the feedback, and I'm glad you guys like it.
What do you think of the semi-offset-symmetry in the 2nd one?

Also, for playing around with Kent's wb techniques and adjustments, this was a great image for it. The colors across the different pieces of stained glass change significantly depending on how I set the white balance. I set it differently for #1 and #2, and definitely noticed some differences.

3 worked for me with respect to symmetry, 2 not so much.
