for some reason I like the third one best - I think the contrast is most striking.

I've seen several of the places you've photographed so I know what a great talent you have for creating a superb image with even a simple landscape. That takes a lot of vision and skill.

Love the first for the composition and the 4th for the light and colours. They're all great though. Nice 3D effect.

Can't wait for your photos when the ice breaks. This year should be better than ever.
I still think about your phone pic of the fish flies. I loved that one.

Thank you very much Sandra! I really appreciate the comments. I do have to work hard to "make" interesting (or interesting to me) photos out here. I am really jealous of all the mountainscapes and epic locations many people here seem to either live by or have piles and piles of money to always be visit. I have to drive 2+ ours just to shoot a couple of small boulders on the shore of a lake. One day I will win the lotto and be able to see/photograph some of these epic places.....hopefully!!! :/

Very nice set Scott!
It reminds me of an old tree I photographed once up in the mountains.

I like them all, but prefer #1. Perhaps intuitively, that's why it was your #1

I prefer the perspective of No 1, emphasises the log more and gives more drama in the shot. Leads the eye very strongly into the horizon and the angle of the log is more dramatic than the other 3. Too bad you didn't catch the end of the log in the light like in no 2 - then I would say it was perfect! But really really nice colours and pp. Thanks

The first one for me Scott. I really like the perspective on that one.

Very unusual angle Scott. The light and colors look amazing.
Great set.

Awesome work Scott! The first one is my favorite! The great colors and amazing textures along with a nice comp make for a great photo!

Scott, they're all very nice. The sky and light on the log is best in No. 1. The ice is more "obvious" in No. 2, so I guess No. 4 offers the best balance of the two.
