p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Splinter to Frankenstein

I was doing the mom/son shoot this weekend and the son was being a brat. So I had my wife grab a basketball and shoot some hoops with him to get rid of some energy while I did some shots of the mom. On the way back he gets a terrible splinter, and cries for like 15 minutes... Once he stopped crying mom said let's get back to it, but he wasn't ready to smile yet. I know it is not a traditional portrait series but I love his emotion in it. The deal we had was serious then goofy, so the last is his Frankenstein gooofy

Convert to b/w and you have a photo look of my era, the 1950s. The backstory and the serendipitous accident resulted in a great set.
