p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Profoto XL White Deep Umbrella

I'm shooting a largish group of about 20 people (possibly in two lines away from camera at an angle).

I'm wondering how the Profoto XL White Deep Umbrella might fare with this job. I'd need to get it a reasonable distance (and be using my 1000W D1 head for enough power).

I gather the new deep brollies have a different characteristic to the older shallower ones, but maybe this is just in amount of control by adjusting the head to brolly distance.

Anyone tried these umbrellas? What sort of max even light spread is there.

(I suppose I could just break out a couple of smaller umbrellas and light with two lights, but I've never been keen on multiple heads for group shots).

Alas I'm in the UK, so all the alternative options from PLM aren't available easily to me.

I just got the Silver parabolic .... it's really nice

the white translucent flares out at the ends a bit more.
