I have this lens with a 1000F I bought my dad for his 60th.

There is no corrosion, it just seems a little grubby and dull in places, especially around the rings. I've searched but cannot find any info.

What is this made of? Aluminum? Chrome? Steel?

Basically, how do I give it a light cleaning without damaging it.
