I'm new to this forum. I've been an amateur photographer for about 5 years. Mostly take wedding pics. Some babies.
I need to sell some of my old gear do I need 25 posts! Lol

Welcome aboard, Sir. Indeed you do need 25 posts to sell or buy. You can make meaningful contributions to your areas of expertise by going to their respective Boards and introducing yourself, posting up some pics of what your work is, meeting folks there, etc. By then, as Trenchmonkey has said earlier, you'll have made some friends, gotten feedback on your work, and become a valued member here. It ain't about buying and selling.

Edit: May I suggest that you fill out your profile and perhaps post a link or two to where you have your photography displayed. It'd be great to see what you do.

Just want to put this out in a polite way..............

There is a lot of trust and a lot of money and a lot of gear that transitions on our B&S forum. There has been a rapid increase in the amount of scammers that are attempting to take advantage of good people here and that is the reason that Fred Miranda has recently mandated the 25 post count.

Since the new posters here know no better of each other anyone of your or others can easily be potential scammers, and this is not directed at anyone here in specific please understand that. Trying to build 25 posts in this thread may not be much of benefit in building trust from the experienced buyers on this forum. You might consider participating in threads in areas you have interest in or gear for sale related to.

It is easy to see the history of what the new folks have said simply by clicking on the word 'Posts' within their reply....................My suggestion if you want to earn respect and seriously consider selling here is to get a bit more involved

Myself as well as others that have made many many transactions here are not going to be too keen on someone selling a $2500 body or lens that we see 25 posts all in a days time in this area of the forum.................just putting it out there for thought so you get the idea of the strength of this community. You too will benefit from it if you handle it correctly
