Esquire Magazine (April 2014) just published five of my New York City night time street photos from my Blurb book: INSOMNIA: THE CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS. http://store.blurb.com/ebooks/321370-insomnia

All photos were shot with Kodak 120 Tmax 400, vintage flashbulbs, and Rolleiflex TLR cameras -- 2.8f and Rolleiwide.

Hi Dan,

I enjoyed seeing the photos. (I used to live in NYC.)

Good use of the flash and gear. Classic look.

How is the ebook working for ya? I have never clicked on a link for one. The viewing worked well (easy to see photos).

Very fine story telling about NYC. Using vintage equipment certainly influences how you "see" your world.

Congratulations. Enjoyed looking at your work. Do you find people respond to you differently because of the TLR?

Thanks for looking. The ebooks are nice -- for downloading to my iPad. The whole book and all the books I've done can be seen in their entirety on Blurb in preview. In terms of money, almost none -- even from relatives! In three years or so I've gotten one check for about $19 -- you have to make 25 and then Blurb charges you for sending a check

Yes, people are interested in vintage cameras, or anything that looks different. At night time, most people didn't notice what I was using -- but those flashbulbs -- man they're bright! f/11.5 at 10 feet.
