p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Panorama from Fillmore Glen

Don't think I've posted this one here before, but I just ran across it in Lightroom.

Taken w. D7000 and Nikon 24-70 ƒ2.8, photos stitched vertically in Photoshop Elements and then edited in Lightroom.

Definitely a moody landscape, and I'm aware that the water is the slightest bit blown out, but I like it nonetheless.
(Still need to invest in an ND filter set.)

Feel free to leave thoughts, criticisms, etc.

Thanks for looking.

Fillmore Glen State Park in Moravia, NY. It's on the southern tip of Owasco Lake, one of the Finger Lakes in Upstate NY.

Thank you for your kind words.

Very nice. i like the moodiness of the black and white. Nice hoe it is, but since you asked for input, it might be interesting to see it with the bottom 25% cropped off, keeping most of the reflection and emphasizing the waterfall a bit more. Nice job!

Thank you! Interesting idea on the crop. Not sure how I would like it, but it's worth a try

Nice shot, and the conversion to B&W works well for me. If I were to give any suggestions (for what they're worth), I might tone down the vignette a bit and on the shot posted it looks like the rock face of the falls is bordering on too much sharpening (or structure/fine structure if you're using Silver Efex). I think the crop, as posted, works well for me.

I like the composition. I love the processing. Looks like a gorgeous place.

What I don't like is the strong vignette. That is a distraction to me and my personal taste is to not vignette landscapes.

Thanks for looking. I will have to look back at the vignette, I think it would focus attention more toward the center of the photo, but I will revisit it.

This image is awesome, seen larger on Flickr. I like the idea of the vignette because, I think you are right, it does lead your eyes to the falls in the middle. However, like others, I think it's a bit too strong, expecially in the right corners.
