Yup, I buy from the US all the time and I know exactly what to expect when buying from there. However, never did buy ''Big ticket'' items from HK.

They will be shipping using the postal service.

Hi C,

For lenses, it should be about the same as from the US. You'll probably pay sales tax and a (hopefully) small handling fee, but not duty. For example, I bought a new Sigma EX 120-300/2.8 OS from HK in October 2012. The costs for the lens, shipping, and US/CA exchange totalled about $2270, and I had to pay $177 on delivery. That's about half the normal sales tax. Maybe it was declared for a low value. I don't remember.

All of my cameras were bought in Canada.

You might get charged duty on lighting, support, and other accessories (same as from the US).
