p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Some recent NHL shots & overhead remote question....

Hey guys,
It's been a busy last couple of weeks with the Blues back in town and finishing up my youth hockey playoffs and the last of wrestling and basketball T&I work.
I have set up a couple of different overhead remotes at the last couple of games and was looking for input from you guys as to what you like/dislike about overhead remote shots.
I had researched different angles and I know everyone's taste or preference is different but I prefer looking at the goalie from the front, as opposed to from behind the net. What are your opinions?
I've included a handful of shots from the last couple of games.
Thanks,
Billy-

Not much help here cause I like the look of both angles..... number 7 is great for pre-game ect... but nothing beat s a nice overhead shot INHO.....

BTW that Oilers Blues game last night5 was a chippy affair eh??

Nice shots all around!

Thanks Trevor. I'm honored you not only weighed in on this topic, but you dig the shots. Coming from a great hockey shooter like yourself, I'll take it!
Yes, it seems the games that are lopsided on the scoreboard are the ones that tend to get out of hand and crazy. You know it's extra chippy when Tarasenko is not only in on the action, but starts a brawl.

I like both as well. I set up both as well.
I've caught some goal sequences from the in front of goal remotes that I couldn't have gotten otherwise.
Directly over the goal is awesome but your keeper rate is 1. ! Although I give the team way more anyway. Why? because it don't cost nothin'.
You get more keepers using the front remote but it might not be as dramatic or have the same impact as that 1 or 2 overhead looking down.
I babble a lot.
Use em both.

Billy -- great shots! I am a fan of the overhead looking at the front of the net; from the back of the net just doesn't give me the same sense of action/anticipation. My two cents.

Billy….no help here either. I like the the different looks. But if I really had to split hairs….I also like the goalie views from the front vs behind.

Nice set.

#7 is excellent. You can almost feel the pre-game adrenaline pumping.
Is there any chance you could made your watermark smaller and more faded though?

I like the unique infront shots. It also can provide faces every once in a while. More than the direct above net one can.

I think both angles are good, it just depends on the action taking place. One angle may offer a better sense of the action. I enjoyed your Tyler Seguin photos. Nice seeing an old Plymouth Whaler (OHL) doing well in the NHL. All of your photos are very good.
