I will be in the Bellingham WA area on Wed/Thur of this week.

Anyone willing to offer some great places to visit...take some shots??
Both landscape and wildlife?

I don't know about current road conditions, but I always drive up onto Mt Baker for a shot at Picture Lake, and a stop at Noosack Falls. La Connor is a nearby town with some interesting features. Some nice scenes along Chuckanut Drive, and you can always drive to Deception Pass. Should fill two days nicely.

I'd head up to the the Mt. Baker area. Maybe snowshoe up to Artist Point for stunning mountain views in all directions.

Reemphasizing that heading east on 542 from Bellingham is a good bet.
There are are a couple good trails that run along the Nooksac. I recall that they are past the town of Glacier. The river will be very high and fast.

542 ends (is not plowed) at the ski-resort, and you can snowshoe the ~2 miles from there. If you can manage it, it's top priority.

That said, avalanche danger is still quite high...

Just to reiterate - be careful of avalanches. They are not uncommon for folks going up to Artists Point when the approach is snow covered. There are fatalities due to avalanches every two or three years up there. Be safe.

When you get back to Spokane, run up to Nelson, B.C. and along Slocan Lake and over to Kaslo for some great photo opportunities.
