Hey Dan,

That is pretty nice looking. I keep meaning to get up there and shoot the vineyards with either the grapes still on them or in the fall. One of these days!

Jim,
I have found that while some vineyards look great while driving down the road, many are hard to get a good scene from as they are "fenced". I had some luck up in Napa/Sonoma region. This picture is from a small vineyard in hills east of San Jose, maybe 5 acres.

A friend got me en entree to meet the owner & he let me wander the property.
Getting shots w/grapes are another challenge!
I posted these for the owner & he ended up using one of them on his website.
Will return when the grapes are close to picking

like the colors of the vines but I feel the composition is a bit cut off from the top.

Nice one Dan. Balloon ride? I like the colors you got here.

doc, it was nothing but bright sky there. I might take another look at it.

Phil, this was done with the camera on the end of a monopod w/remote.
I do this a lot at events & when the shutter speeds/iso are high enough.
Beats having to look for a very large ladder

I agree with doc. Perhaps crop it right before the vines end?
